Hi everyone, hope y'all are doing well Im rebuild a 3406E cat engine and I'm wondering is the injectors off an acert engine would work on my 3406E ? Thanks in advance, any help would be greatly appreciated
They will fit, it will run. Doesn’t mean they will work. We need a little more info as what you have going on to get you correct info. Part numbers off both sets of injectors or engine serial numbers would be a helpful start
Good morning everyone, sorry for getting back to you till now but we figured it out, the problem.we were having was that after putting the engine all back together and cranked up cylinder 5 and 6 throwing codes and missing , we tried another set of injector and kept doing the same, well my mistake was that I hooked injector 5 on 6 and 6 on 5 once we realized that and correct it everything start running nice and smooth, pretty happy the way thing turn out I'm not a mechanic just a regular owner operator and learned a bunch through this project Thanks everyone that replied May God bless you
Update We built a 3406E 6TS s# to a C16 650 HP with 7CZ cat file, been driving it for a few day now and very Please the way is performing so far Used a high performance kit from PAI, stage 4 cylinder head Will post any hiccups we run into along the way Have a blessed day
