Erm I don't know. Once in a while someone tries to pull the wool and laugh at us TTR, but we have (Who is this we?) have gotten pretty good at fishing out crazy posters who particularly show that they never touched a big rig in life in particular.

We had one poster one morning this week write about a subject guaranteed to rile the entire site and community, the Mods were johnny on the spot and showed that one the door within a few moments of that outrageous first post.

    Zoltan1a Thanks this.

The thing is, most of our trucks are autoshift now. Those old rules about gears are history.
The engine/transmission/computer calculates exactly what is needed for a given situation. It does a pretty good job in most cases, although it needs a little help from time to time.

In the case of a downhill slope, it will try to maintain no more than 2 mph above the set cruise control speed.
The only way to speed going downhill, if on cruise, is to have a VERY heavy load on a VERY steep hill - and totally ignore the speed instead of going to manual and using a little brake.

Those speeding violations are through sheer carelessness, or worse by trying to go that fast down a hill.
3 or 4 of those will get you fired. Even once at more than 71 mph (or around in that area) for more than a few seconds can get you fired.

The cat was the perfect addition to that video sequence.
