help please 2006 VN w/D12 volvo error code MID 128 PID 124 FMI 4

    Please anyone run into this the shop is not having a lot of luck finding the problem the engine brake dont work and there is a code for the EGP1 also

    You probably have a bad EPg valve that's where I would start

    If the shop has access to vcad they can figure this out easy all they have to do is run an engine brake test and you can tell what the problem is if they don't I don't know if its a good idea to repair it there you need to take it someplace that deals with volvo engines

    Thanks nasriza, I will check with them today about this they do work on the Volvo engines so I would think so but I will ask.

    Yes the shop has all the lastest equipment they even had a tech from the local volvo dealer come in . Replaced the harness, and ECM still showing up low voltage they are pulling there hair out and the poor man don't have much hair left. Any one run into a problem like this??

    Tell then to unplug both egr and try it like that if not there is some connections by the starter that they rub and they go bad also there is a fuse in the cab for engine brake

    Thanks again a young man in there shop that was working on a fire truck went over and lent a hand very smart fellow. For he found a broken wire in about 2-2 1/2 hours
