That engine can be flashed to 550@1850 with the stock hard parts as per serial number.

    Pete388 Thanks this.

I'm curious what the op gets for fuel mpg average right now? I hope it's not 4.5mpg like those acert horror stories.

6nz is more similar to the e-models than you know. Parts are interchangeable.

Pete388, Oldironfan and wore out Thank this.

Not really. The heat issue in the acert engines come from the high comp pistons and timing.

pushbroom and wore out Thank this.

My 6nz was a 2 turbo motor made in 07, I do know it was one of the motors they were pay fines or some type of penalty on for emissions, but definitely 2 turbos and acert

You had a C-15. What serial number prefix it's obvious you are not sure.

The 6NZ was the first to be labeled a C-15. It was only offered as a single turbo and long out of production by 07. The MBN replaced it and was also a single turbo. It was known as the bridge motor. After the bridge motor is when the Acert twin turbo came out

RERM, Superhauler and Oldironfan Thank this.

I am sure you know more about CAT motors than I do, I am also sure I know more than you about which motor was in my truck.
