I think this guy is probably a troll. But 5 to 1 if he went to a traditional truck driving school he would be on here saying he doesn’t get enough seat time. Do you tell your doctor how to do his job? Do you pull over when you see the police doing a traffic stop and tell them how to do their job? Let the trainer do his/her job and train you. You don’t know what you don’t know. Pay attention and stay out of the middle lane. haha
I dont think he's a troll. Too many people nowadays are too soft, were taught growing up that they were precious snowflakes, and if someone doesn't bend over backwards to accommodate you they are some kind of bully or bigot.
I agree with you. Idk if it occurred to the poster that the trainer probably enjoys LIFE so if he sees something the trainee is doing wrong the trainers life depends on correcting it.
Honestly, I don't even think its that. I think a lot of people think this is an easy job. They think "#### driving is easy, I can drive. I love to drive, I drive a couple hours to grandma's twice a year." They dont realize that unlike driving to Grandma's that they can only stop for fuel at truck stops, and that they have HOS and appointments and there are no truck restricted routes and rarely was the road closed for 4 hours for a fatality accident, and that grandma wasn't calling asking them for an ETA cause the load was hot. Then they realize that ####, maybe this isn't as easy as I thought it would be.
I was thinking too the trainer is teaching time management but the trainee was worried about going 58mph .
Are you done talking outta your behind I am not complaining you fool I’m saying that trainer is not teaching me anything and he got me on the wheels while he’s not even watching me so worried about we name it on time that we both drive straight 14 hours And stop talking that you’re that tough hard working guy who drives a truck!! You have no clue what was my previous job for 13 years, cause that was a real tough career Say hello to grandma lol
Your not going to learn anything if your just holding the wheel and doing as your instructed because you dont know any better. Ask questions. Its possible trainer wants you to learn how to drive the night shift. Its not easy. Poor visibility etc etc. Im glad your putting safety ahead of the load. You really dont want to see your name in the local paper. There is a thing as being to cautious however with you still in the permit phase. Dont let anyone push you to hard. And if your trainer is to impatient. Then request another.
