Have done loads like this,. They combine them together to make a full load and they need all BOL's when delivering. Not a big deal.

Good to have a quick response, not hours.

I see no problem if made aware especially when working with a broker for first time.

They should have had 1 Master freight bill, along with individual BOLs, or packing slips. Have to be careful, sometimes they’ll only have a Manifest, not a Legal BOL. Main thing is to be sure whatever you sign is a Legal BOL. Must have the legal language, usually printed on the bottom. Simply explain if needed, it’s for everyone’s protection. It’s the Law. Make up a BOL of your own if needed. Make sure they sign the Shipper portion. Same with a blind or double blind shipment. Those can be tricky. Broker should provide the fake BOL’s in that case. It’s up to you to be Legal, if inspected. For instance, running under original BOL, or with original and fake BOL’s, till delivery. Whatever matches your route. Have fun explaining to DOT what’s going on. Lol. “See Officer-The Shipper in Florida thinks it’s going to Pa. The receiver in Colorado thinks it’s coming from Pa., but it’s really going straight from Florida to Colorado.” That’s why I’m in Oklahoma, with 2 BOL’s with 2 different destinations.”

Most of the time the Broker has no idea. It’s up to you to make sure you have a Legal BOL. Plenty of times they only have a Manifest, or try to give you a copy without the legal language. Basically a packing slip. Explain if needed. You need a real BOL, otherwise it’s not covered by any Laws, including insurance regulations. Not to mention your ability to collect payment.
