trying to slide trailer tandems at an angle will do this. it twists the frame. don't ask me how I know and it was 20 or so yrs ago.lol

Take a big steel pipe and beat your driver with it. Probably won't fix the trailer but you'll feel better.

These need to be out of the way when the trailer drops back down, or they will become a royal pain..
I have actually handled this very problem at least 4 times at a shipping dock with nothing but some ingenuity and brute force..Attached Files:

Even if the pins are retracted, the guide rail brackets will have to be removed before the rails can come back down. Unless the brackets are bent outward already which caused the slide rail to lift up and over the brackets.
