I've used many handles over the years. I retired this handle back in the 80's and I will let you use it if you want. The handle is "Wamm Bamm". Hopefully, no one will get it mixed up with me, since it has been in the safe for so many years. When you pronounce it, do it slowly with a slight pause between "Wamm" and "Bamm". Good luck....
American-Trucker Thanks this. -

And here I thought CB Handles were given to you by other driver's...
I've been given many of handles over the years... Many of them I earned & I still respectfully use. Others I probably earned as well but am a little ashamed to even repeat them...
If I would of asked "What should I call myself" when I started driving.... I probably would have been slapped around a few times & told to go home.
Why don't you go by "hey" until you are given a handle by another driver out on the road? Most will give you a handle that you earned by one of your actions...
Something like if you start driving for Swift... You may get a handle name of crash. Or hood jumper... Maybe ditch hopper... Or get your slow truck outta the left laneGot reefer? Thanks this. -
So, wait on the handle. They will give you one.
Truck drivers get names like Swift, JB, Penske. Truckers get names like Ridgerunner, Bigfoot, Leadfoot, Mudflap, Gearjammer, Cajun, Goatman, Dogman, Snake. If they look or sound like a celebrity, they will be given the celeb's name. I know one driver who looks exactly like Uncle Phil on the "Fresh Prince". I dont even know his name. Absolutely everyone (shippers, receivers, waitresses, all drivers) calls him Uncle Phil. I bet even his mom calls him Uncle Phil.American-Trucker and Hatley Thank this. -
Goodmorning, mine was wait can't use that here ether dang it, they would think it's dirty too, but it's not, i used too hit the dock kinda hard , so there was a big bang, so then i take off after i get empty and grind the gears , cause i was just starting out, so everyboby calling me ,was grinding and bangin for awhile, over the cb, so they say wacth out here's comes grinding and a bangin, but aft a year of that i retired it,aft i went too south dakato, and deliver there , i met my new friend, a indian friend invited me over too there camp, yes i was in the no zone delivering a load,so that night i couldn't still still , i never still still anyway, i always on the move, so they name running bear, and it stuck, now everyboy up there like that , so thats was my new name in the indian country, and last my dad named me toolboy, becuse i was in the garage helping work on stuff, handed him wrenches and stuff, and latter years went from toolboy to toolman by my ex ,now lets not go into the 70's when everyboby had too wwait for the cb lic and numbers, i still got mine ,brand new ,never outa the pkg , that's was the biggest joke for the cb radio world,
Everett.--> running bear,

Of course you "could" be tricky. Many drivers dont think before they talk(imagine that..golly gee Goober....JudyJudyJudy)..........Call yourself "ImStupid"....if they wanna talk to ya they go...."Hey, Im Stupid"...some wont get it after they say it cause.....THEYRE STUPID

The first one I was ever given was when I first started driving.
I was 21 and with a company where the next youngest person was over 50.
They decided that I had to be one of the Little Rascals, but I was not good enough to be any of them.
So they settled on Pete, the dog from little rascals.
That name stuck for many years, and if I went back to that area now it would probibly still be used.
Now those that use anything use my name from here. It is a name that came about from a game I use to play. My friends saw a pic of me with my normally shaved and shiny head, and named me Chrome Dome.
Since I do not run with the same people very often I do not use a handle on the road for the most part.
It is fine for local and regional drivers, but OTR you will probibly not get that name known in many areas, and you will go to areas where others use the same names.American-Trucker Thanks this.
