Help with CB purchase for Trucker Hubbie.

Painting . . . I seem to remember that coming up in another thread from a new truckers wife some time ago! Tends to happen that walls end up getting painted while hubby is on the road.

If you shop Walmart, I can recommend their Color Place paint. It's made by Sherwin Williams. Found that out from a guy at the paint counter.

the uniden 78 elite is a nice radio that he wont want to immediately upgrade . dont forget to invest in a good antenna such as a wilson 2000 or even better 5000 .

 

Go to your local truck stop. My hubby just started driving on his own 2 weeks ago. We picked up a Cobra 29 chrome addition at our local petro truck stop for $79.99 w/ a $20.00 rebate on it. I did lots of looking around both on the net and in local stores that was the best price I found by far. Most every on want $150 or better for the same radio. He loves that one!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

there are 2 versions of the cobra 29 the inexpensive one and the expensive one. the expensive one has the weather channels

 

My hubby's one has the weather channels as well. They were just on sale!

 

personally I am a cobra girl...been running radios forever....as a matter of fact I still remember my parents KNH # that will take some of y'all back...ok I have a guy who tweeks my radios as well as for the weather part you might make sure he does not already have that feature on his regular am/fm we have it on ours you may be doubleing up innecessarily...well check in girl there is always someone who will have been there done that and can help ya out.......as for me welll my BC list my fathers occupation as truck driver so I have learned a trick or two about surviving w/o the man around welcome to the group and enjoy
