Thanks. If you keep the fuel and load the same and have boost drop off, youll see EGT climb. Ambient air is cool. The more ambient air you can fit in the cylinder the more air mass available to absord heat from the cylinder.
When you crank up the fuel on a small stock turbo you get high egt and coal smoke. It takes a bigger charger with more cfm to clear up the coal which is just a case of bringing the air fuel ratio back near stock.. Theres just more of it in the cylinder. The egt will drop, boost will go up, smoke will clear and power increase. In my experience fuel mileage can improve somewhat too.
