That's better for you. If your wife drives than you can do easily 16,000 miles a month. Now just do the math.

Oh by the way if a company guarantees you a certain mileage per month, have them write it down on the contract.

However no company will do that because they cant guarantee the mileage.

Plates should be closer to $200. a month for pulling 5 axles and about $300. a month to pull Super "B"s.

The one guy said $1750 a month. So I am still not sure why you all say that we will make no money. I am not convinced. Do you guys smoke, have kids, have a house to pay for, buy love sometimes? eat in truck stops? Like I said we have ZERO bills, no bad habbits and no house or kids and can work any where in Canada.

If your going to make any money being an O/O your numbers better not be off. You have to know your operating costs per mile. If you don't you will lose the truck.

If you both drive, have no home to go to every week,no other bills and live in your truck you'll do just fine.Don't listen to all the nay sayers!

If Bison is anything like the other large carriers then your plates and insurance will be paid by them.

Well O have been around. I got into trucking in 1961 so that's 50 years. It's not what it used to be. Today, I would drive a company truck.

Or I could always buy more trucks and trailers and start another company. My 3 year no competition clause expired 2 years ago.

Ya they is a lot of negative guys on here. We have been care full and planned for this. We don't go into dispatch winning about needing days off either. I like the idea of flat decken and maken extra money. We are very smart with our money as well.
    thanks for the help guys

Well my wife being a Chartered Accountant, we are all set on how to run things. What do companys like bison or Transx do if you are late with your load? I won't be pushed and risk getting a ticket or in crap with the DOT. We take our time and are very carefull and safe and very organized with paper work and log books etc.
