A CDL without recent experience is useless . I never said I don't like driving but that brings up another good point . That's asked in a lot of posts - "If it's so bad why don't you quit ? " Use common sense . Many experienced drivers have good jobs with plenty of home time , paid detention time and plenty of miles . They also have seniority and a secure job . CDL school graduates will see none of that for a long time . They will be lucky to get a job they can survive on . The ones that get a job will most likely be replacing someone that quit because of low pay and poor working conditions . Drivers are not giving up good paying jobs and fleets are getting smaller , not adding trucks .

So your saying if you loose your job and don't drive for 3 to 6 months your going to let your CDL go....LOL That's how you are coming off here....He is much further ahead to try and better his situation , With a driving school , or Trade school ...Than to just sit on his but and wonder what to do next.....You have a plan to get your CDL go get it and don't look back and never let it go once you have it... Enjoy the learning experience of life....Stay Positive

Its called refresher course...There are some companies that will not hire if you been out of a truck for 6 months. Most are 1 year....

so if you or me are out of the truck for 1 year and we got 20 years driving they look at you and i as ''beginners''...

Thats why the CDL aint worth crap anymoreITS A SCAM A BIG LIE..Wake up were are you living...lmao:biggrin_25525:
