This kind of crap is why the general public no longer looks at us CDL holders as PROFESSIONAL DRIVERS.....How Professional do we sound right now LOL....Get the point?????? Cant even steer the guy in the direction of the information he was asking for....

I know the reality...Things are tough, God knows I'm not leaving my family for fun..And I drove for 3 years...But this transparent attempt to turn people away...Maybe it's reverse psychology and your a recruiter...Anyway, anyone that buys your hopeless scenario would not make it anyway..So what Skins off your back? Let people see for themselves. If your unemployed your going to recoup the Course expense in a couple of months.

Just FYI Central Refrigerated charges $2,000 for a 90 hour refresher course . The state of Georgia requires a refresher course offered by schools to be an approved 70 hours . I couldn't link to that info because of ads but check this out . http://www.azed.gov/arizonaHEAT/Cou...ory=&ID=4118&returnP=1&Ptype=Training Program . Seems to me the bull crap is the "You take a driving test and they send you on your way " line .
All the negative posters here have data to back their statements up . Those with the optimistic comments have only their opinions .

LOL What a JOKE..... The state cant require you to take a refresher course after you have your CDL and KEEP IT UP TO DATE.....Don't let your endorsements drop and it shouldn't be a problem to ever even think about. I don't care if its 3 months or 6 years since you last drove... as long as you don't drop your CDL You can jump in a truck and Legally Drive It....With a Valid DOT physical of course

The problem is that the success rate of ''new;; drivers is very very low.And in the end you will still have to pay back the ''school'' money...or lose your money in the credit bureu

Then you will work so cheap for a possible 2 years at 28 cents a mile if you are lucky..They will beat the snot out of you because you are at there mercy.

The schools are only there to take your money ,not help you suceed at the ''business'' of trucking.

Yes i have nice things ,you are correct. But i personally would never get trapped into this crap, scam today...

I am not telling you not to do it.

I am telling you to listen, learn and truly no what you are up against and the reality of the ''trucking'' world...thats it..

and yes i have a very funny way of helping...lol

Where do I sign up for this job? I had one of them jobs....$14.35hr # 40-60hrs week (paid time and half anything over 40) untill Oct 9, 2008. That morning upper management showed up and told us that Dec. 9, 2008 they would shut the doors. Factory was here for 38 yrs, I worked there 20 yrs.
    FAST FORWARD
Feb. 7, 2009 within 40 miles of where I live no one is accepting applications, unless I will work for $6.75 hr. If I can get a job paying $10.00hr, good. $11.00-$12.00 hr great. $15.00 hr, I will not look at a truck. I do listen to all advice, good and bad, but we all have to make our own decision and then live with it....good or bad.
