My 07 KW and my 07 Freightliner have DIP switches. You set the switches using tire diameter and rear ratio.
Help with Speedometer adjustment.

I understand that. Somebody asked where the dip switches are located. I said I think they are on the backside of the speedometer. Is that where you found yours, tallmon?
-
Yes, sorry, forgot to say they are in the back! You definitely need the manual for the formula.
-
Or the pdf's in post 26.

Well, my '02 Freightliner FL112 does not have dip switches. I took apart the dash and they are not there. I stopped by the dealer and they said they can program the speedometer for 1 hour of shop time, $175! Seems a little much to me. Anybody know of a way to do it without having to pay them so much?

Find someone that has Detroit Diag Software 6.5 .... or a different detroit shop Should take literally 10 minutes to do.
-
Thanks tallmon! I'll visit the independent shop that works on my son's truck and see if he can do anything. I have a Cat C-12, does the Detroit Diag Software work with that?
-
Oh... didn't see the part about Cat. You'll need a Cat shop for that. They'll need the Cat diagnostic software.

Thanks!!
