I delivered a flatbed load to San Ysidro and had a similar problem. The workers at the customer were nice enough but couldn't speak English. Walked next door to another business and found a woman that agreed to translate for me. Time consuming.

The best advice I can give is to continue doing your job safely and form a backup plan just in case you must leave & find new employment with another trucking company.

Thanks, I'll definitely keep looking for something else just in case. I'm going to apply to MTA here in Los Angeles as a bus driver. Yeah, it's not a truck but I'd be making more $ and have a decent union on my side... I think. Plus, it's local and probably the same route every day. Only real issue I could imagine is the people riding the bus... public transportation just about anywhere is a sight to behold.

Yes, those city buses or Greyhound remind me of that movie with Jack Nicholson, "One Flew Over The Cuckcoo's Nest." All those patients from a mental institution escaped on a bus.

Maybe a private bus company taking people on gambling trips from Los Angeles to Las Vegas & return.

Dude, Tell him this, If he would like to ride along and show you where you can tighten things up that you would be more then happy to take him along, Tell him that you are not going to get in a big hurry and that if you do you will allow something to fall off the truck... Also tell him that if he gives you till the first of the year then he will see a difference, and Tell him not to pay you the extra hours, just don't let this one go, you will be out of luck if you have to go anywhere else!.

Don't be rushed by any body, it causes careless mistakes. Some are funny years later, others family's never get over. Bottom line time will make you more efficient only time. 18 years and when rushed I can make a rookie mistake. Don't let him get to you
