Check Millis Transfer. They had a rider policy when I was there. They also have a terminal near Hamliton, Oh. They have their own school but I believe they hire from other schools too. Good luck.

That sucks that she can't drive. The only watchout I would see is whether you two can stand to be with each other in close quarters 24-7 (not knowing your current situation).

I am not a driver yet but heard something disturbing to be this weekend. I was told some trucking companies (Schneider) make drivers pay for damage to trucks when the accident is the drivers fault. If I have been out of work for months how would I have $ to have a truck repaired. Is this legal?

gearjammer: I will check them out, I completely forgot about them and actually recommeneded them to someone the other day.

Rick: We are together all the time the way it is. Neither of us are working so we are together pretty much everyday, unless one of us has an errand to run or I am fishing.

So basicially you are saying that you are homeless so you want a trucking company to give you a place to live ?

This seems to more common all the time so I don't see why they won't give you house too . I mew. It's not like it is real job or anything and all you do hold a stearing wheel so how much do you really need to know.

I mean its not like anyone has ever been killed on a truck so your wife should be safe as you learn your way around.

I might be wrong so just disregard this post if it is t what you want to hear.

Package deal, I drive, She tells me where to go! Passenger insurance cost about 12.00 a month. I drive, or I don't. Men get jobs quicker. Just my thoughts.

Marmonman: I am not homeless. I am sitting in a home right now. What I meant earlier by finances wont dictate, even though none of your concern is that I want to get out of debt. I want to pay everything off and sell my place to get out of debt so I can build my dream place in Tennessee so I can go fishing. How else would I be using a computer etc if I was homeless? Excuse me for trying to get out of debt. When I said finances dictate I might have to put my wife in a truck is that the housing market is starting to recover right now, and our place is on the market. I would prefer not to have to get an apartment for 6 months to a year for my wife to live in while I am on the road if I can help it. It would save me a lot of money. Plus, dont assume anything or judge me cause only my God, Jesus Christ, can judge me.

Saddletramp: That is not bad for insurance. My wife is good at navigating, I might just have to make that deal with her. Thanks.

Hope it all works out for yall. But a thought... I hired a driver who HAD always had his wife by his side. Life changed, he came off the road and babies had babies. I hired and put him on the road as wife was at home to raise the grand kids.

He turned out to be the most worthless SOS as a driver I had ever seen. Fifty year old man who just could not stand to be away from home over 4 days and really did not have a clue how to operate a smart phone much less a GPS. And geeeeezzzz his paperwork.

So Catfish .... take your poles with you and learn everything she does that helps you so you are not handicapped when she is at that new house in TN.
