Tak....appreicate that. I am also excellent at navigating. I actually taught her. LOL. This has been a dream of mine since I was 13 so I have been reading road maps for years and I can tell you what interstates route through most major cities without looking at a map. I hate gps. I only use it if I am in the city and they have one way streets. Don't want to go down the wrong street on a one way. I am actually teaching her everything I know about trucking and I pay all the bills etc, so I am set up well there. I am sorry that driver didn't work out for you. I can stand to be away from home if the kids come. Actually, honestly, I will do OTR until the kids come and then Ill move to regional or dedicated. Take care and stay safe. Good luck with your company.

Don't take this the wrong way please, but remember to word things to seem positive. Companies look for stable drivers to rely on for driving their truck and trusting with their client's freight. They may not prefer someone in even a minor amount of financial distress.
So lead any comments in the direction of something like, " It is only my wife and I. It would save us the cost of rent if she could keep me company on the road. And her not sitting at home alone is also desirable."

pmiller, they are on my list. Seems like a great company. I appreicate the heads up. Do you know if they allowed you to take riders right out of training.

Not sure, call them they will tell you. They are very honest, I really enjoyed working there. Great trucks, good pay, and they will train you.
Catfish23 Thanks this. -
Ill call them tomorrow. I am already enrolled in school somewhere else, but I will see if they hire recent cdl grads. They have been in my top 5 this whole time. I don't start till June, but I just want to have all the info I can get so I can make the best decision and discuss it with the wife of course.

You better, It has always worked for me.. Discussing things with wife.
Catfish23 Thanks this. -
Lol. I know right? That is the reason that I want her to go with me right away. She wants to share this with me, and I can't say I don't blame her. Other option is flat bedding. TMC promises to have you home most weekends and I can do that for 6 months, then bring her on the road with me. That is an option we have too.

In a seperate thread you mentioned you've failed your CDL test 5 times. I wouldn't worry about bringing my wife with me if you can't get your CDL.
