let me tell ya, i've only been at this a little over a year, it didn't take me long to get the "jist" of this industry, there are many many many people who are in your shoes, i,ve seen people with master degrees turn to trucking, the trucking companies know this, and most are very particular who they hire now, because they can, my bet though, most won't be able to hack this industry, and will get out of it as soon as they can, and than they will once again hire felons, or anyone that is breathing. thats why I say I hope it.s in your blood, because it,s really the only chance of making it a long term deal. Don't get me wrong, I do like it, but as you,ll see there is alot of unecessary crap that goes on in this industry, it don,t have to be the way it is, if i ever hit the lotto, i think i'll start up a trucking company just to show em how it can be done right.............than go to jamica and sell sno cones on the beach............lol...........good luck bud

CraigP I see you live in Cullman. I dont know that it will work for you but call Hayes Trucking, not sure for a fact but I think their in Holly Pond AL. You may be able to talk them into training you. They haul mostly for Gold Kist. Real good people that Ive met, drivers anyway. Not one of them have talked bad about the company.
