Its the same as when I see a brother or sister trying to slide the axles to get the 40' mark for CA. They have a hard time releasing the locks and then guessing where the right 40' hole is, I usually get out pull the pin and tell them when its in the right hole and ready good to go.. What goes around comes around....Nice going...

Not to sound mean or anything, but if that driver would've tarped that load when he was supposed to, at the shippers, he may not have been in the situation...

That being said, I'd have given him a hand too. Unless it was Redd, then I would've gotten out my lawn chair and watched....:yes2557:

I know that there are a handful of shippers that Roehl goes to that do not allow tarping on site. It's not cool and puts drivers in bad situations like the one this driver was in. Thanks again for the helping hand, greatly appreciated.

I was going to make the same comment. Don't worry about sounding mean, that driver gambled and lost. He was paid for a tarping job and tried to get away without doing it.

I'm sure I would have help and have on many occaisions. And yes, I have put myself in the same situation, trying to game the system and losing. :)

There is a simple solution to that..... Tell the shipper to sign the paperwork "No Tarp" if they want you to leave the property to tarp. If they refuse, then tell them you can't leave till everything is secure!

I know alot of places ask you to pull out to tarp on nice days.

Not trying to be a jerk here, but yes he should have tarped......but the point is he played the game an the rain bit him......but ,it was about lending a hand...not sitting in the truck watching him struggle while on the phone...( the two trucks on each side of him)
