You gave her some "tits" eh? The "T" key is nowhere near the "P' key. Freudian slip on the keys?

bender you hit it out of the park with getting set-up correctly to start with. That is the key to backing in anywhere! That is the 1st thing students , newbies, or however you want to define a rookie needs to learn about backing.

That was the hardest thing for me to learn originally. Trainer showed me how, and I knew the basics, but the initial setup is a pita if you don't know when to start turning. I back behind a lot of stores now and ran in the oil fields for a few months. I have to say I've lost my parking lot skills somewhat, but can back around objects like a pro:p

Just parked in a spot with a guard rail 20 ft in front of the truck. Only took about five pullups! Lol. Nothing like parallel parking a big rig with no room to the left! Shimmy shimmy shimmy shimmy...

What side were you backing to ? If a driver is having trouble backing into his left side I usually will let them work at it for a while 15 minutes is not a great deal of time and a lot of new drivers take that long. If it was to your blind side I would have asked if you wanted me to spot your blind side. If you need help and there are people around there is nothing written in the driver code of honor that says you cant get off your ### and ask.

Was 6:30 am. Only people around were loading my next trailer. It was my right side. No drivers around. Trailer on the right. Bar to the front, and street curving around 90degrees to my left. Definitely good practice while I waited. For me that's about as hard as it gets. Putting my trailer against the door was no problem. It was getting straight against the door that was killing me. No room to adjust. Either hit it or try again.
