I got a quote for I think around $10,000 Cdn for a complete Neway clip with 46k Rockwells with full lockups (minus tires and rims) at the wreckers. Think they said it had around 250k kilometers on it when the cab caught fire and burned everything from the cab forward.

@Oxbow did you hear back from Hendrickson yet on a kit number/price? It looks like a decent suspension.

When I was shopping for a pusher axle for my truck I did look at Hendrickson's, but I decided to go with Link manufacturing instead.

I received a kit number from Hendrickson yesterday.

I am working away from home now, so I'll check on pricing when I get home.

I have a 95 w900b daycab with Hendrickson walking beam, it's the air ride cab too. It honestly doesn't ride any worse than my 379 with Pete air leaf I used to have. I had the beams and center bushings all rebushed and I have eight new tires and it's pretty solid. Maybe you could find used 46k rated extended leaf hardware, brackets and springs to bolt in, unless you need heavier stuff. You probably know this already but the RTE has the long main leaf that the truck rides until you load it down to the rest of the spring. I have the RTE and it's noticeable how this works

I have a 379 with air Trac, and a 378 with rubber biscuit walking beam, both with air ride cabs. The 378 probably rides better loaded, especially with 45K or more on the drives, but empty on a washboard gravel road it is brutal.

I have not priced the kit yet, but will give an update when I do.

Ok, got the price. 7k - not sure that it is quite worth that. I estimate that I would be in it about 10k in labor for my guys and getting it re-bushed. I would have to weld mounts on the housings for the lateral track rods, which I will probably will have professionally done.

I'll have to think about this a bit.

Sorry to take so long to respond @SAR; no, I haven't gone any further with this idea yet. I am currently getting the engine rebuilt and have a re-man 18 spd sitting on the shop floor waiting to go in as well. I am working out of the area, so this project is on hold until I get back.

    SAR Thanks this.

No worrys. I had almost forgot about this thread and was curious if you had done it. Sounds like you got a couple other big projects to do first. Thanks
