Wow, that is awesome. I am glad that you were able to be cured.

 

I was very lucky. The first trial almost killed me, but I didn't want to die. I went into the second trial knowing it could kill me, but if it did, someone else didn't have to go through what I did.The second trial is now the treatment of choice for people with Hepatitis C. If I had waited and not been willing and able to be a human guinea pig, I would be in the shape your friend is in, and possibly dead by now. Hopefully, I have saved lives doing the clinical trial. Someone has to do the trials. My other option was to wait to die.
I hope your friend gets their liver transplant. The type I had, is the hardest to treat, but I made it.
