Well, at least you would be starting with a scamming company, so can continue right to the 1099 Chicago company after this one. You'll be used to being abused anyway. There is no excuse to not pay you while you are working for them.
Heck, even Prime, Swift, CR England, etc. pay for the "apprenticeship" portion of the job.Lonesome and Hazmat Cat Thank this. -
You need to move up to Michigan for a year.
I could get you a job hauling milk with no experience with a great little company with great newer equipment and fair pay.
They hired my dum ### with no experience fresh out of cdl training.Lonesome, Hazmat Cat and ZVar Thank this. -
I get to test the waters, do something that is still new and fun, remain associated with a company that I know to be of high ethics and integrity, keep remodeling kitchens so I can pay the bills without going into my savings, and get the experience I need to go out in my own truck. Yep, definitely getting screwed.
I wasn’t clear, though. He said he couldn’t pay me what a regular truck driver would make, but he could pay me something. Then I joked I’d do it for free. If I do one kitchen, which takes a week to install, I’ve made enough money to pay the bills for the month, so training pay isn’t an issue to me.
I will concede on thing: the white Volvos. But one of the drivers showed up in a white 2020 Mack Anthem. Sweet looking truck.tommymonza Thanks this. -
