I have an ‘07 Acert in a Columbia, also pulling a mostly lightly loaded reefer. My APU went out a couple weeks ago and my mpg dropped from 6.5 to 4.9. I run the southeast so it’s been running since the APU quit.
Not sure exactly how you’re getting 7.1 out of an Acert, even with no idling.
