I told my dispatcher months in advance with occasional reminders that I will be coming home to vote no ifs ands or buts and he got me home for the election. I won't vote absentee because they don't seem to be in the mix unless it's a tight race or something. I wanted to know my vote was counted, it's just too important to miss and I even had the mindset that if'n I had to deadhead home and pay for the fuel myself, I was going to be home. I think I actually stayed out the whole month of October to be sure I got home, it is that imporant.

I never used absentee ballot before..... Haven't got one for this election... and now, will be going back on the road this coming weeked and was planning to stay on the road for 2 months as I generally do. But will have to come back earlier so I can vote in person. Don't want to miss this one.

Absentee most years but I always try to get home and do it in person. It just seems like It's something that you should do in person as it is so important.
