Yeah do this. Always seemed to me there's plenty of tanker work in the area, especially NJ.

I agree I drive class A milk truck I'm home every night.

How do the megas even survive when people having 6 months walk away. I don't understand. Heck, I did Werner after 3 months I walked. I wonder if these companies will ever change lol. They are the same companies that cry of driver shortages. There is a shortage of guys willing to put up with their b.s.

Look again. He's been driving for 6 months, and yet in his first post, he lists all the bottom feeders and they make him feel as if they are doing him a favor.

There's thousands of different companies he could go with, but he is the one that is unwilling to put forth any effort. Perhaps you can find a better company for him?

I wouldn't though...if a person is unwilling to invest in his own career, the bottom feeders are a good place for him.

It reminds me of a local bail bonds company that advertises their services with rap music. LOL

    Fair enough.

Let me break it down to you then, cornbread language:

You have 6 months experience. Someone can hire you and put you in a truck and you can do the job, no handholding. If that's the case, you are an experienced driver.

You listed in your opening post, all companies that takes people that need to be potty trained. If you're wearing Hanes and Fruit of the Loom, why are you looking in the Huggies and Pampers section for undergarments?

"So, which would be a better way for me to go, Six?"

I don't know, because you never told any of us WHERE you want to go. If you want local, go local. If you go OTR, AIM HIGHER...DO NOT go to a potty training company.

"How am I to know if they're a potty training company, Six?"

They have trainers and a training program.

"But Six, lots of companies require a full year experience..."

Refer to my first post. IF your record is clean and clear with 6 months experience, you are the exception to any rules, because most rookies will have a couple incidents in that time. You are at the head of your class, friend. It is obvious that you can do the job. Any employer worth his salt can figure that out. Tell all the potty trainers to kiss your arse.

Do a google search for companies based out of your area. There are thousands. Figure out what you want to do and where you want to be, see their requirements and figure out if you would be a good match. It's a little legwork, but this is yourself that you're investing in. And when you get the chance, take a drive down your local US highways and walk in and introduce yourself. You may be surprised on who makes a job offer.

Let me know how it turns out.

    Luck in battle.
