I'm a 50+ married woman seriously looking at getting my class A. Already have my class B and am driving. I love to drive, but I'll admit to being a little nervous about handling a big rig. I watched a YouTube vid interviewing a woman trucker (sorry, don't remember which one) and had to laugh. She said "if you hate camping this job isn't for you, if you love camping you'll love this job." Something like that anyway. I LOVE camping.
I do have some concerns about being a woman and starting out in the trucker world. The biggest is being put with a male team driver when starting. Another in regards to team driving, I have NEVER been able to sleep in a moving vehicle, NEVER.
So, I'm going to start lurking, reading, learning, questioning, bugging, etc. Hopefully I learn something from ya'all.
