Yepper.. Just finished up today.
You're going to have to put in some time before you can count on hometime.. From what I've seen, dedicated drivers get pretty regular hometime on weekends, but you have to pay your dues first.
Hey current drivers

Bre, I used to live in Eburg/Yakima and now live on the west side in kingston. I really miss the east/central side of the cascades. I am also looking at going with CRE, so if you have any insight into what hometime is like, I would appreciate it. I wish you the best in your experience w/ CRE.

Well an update, im headin to marten transport instead, reasons better pay and hometime and they seem to have a better rap with the drivers. I start tuesday morning.
-
bre- does marten have a driving school or do you already need to have your cdl? -
You need to have your cdl already, i do know that marten is getting picky about drivers at least that is what we were told, out of 1200 people that applied with marten only 60 got in with marten. We are now waiting on truck assignments and it looks like we might be getting into new petes or kw's but that is a might also, no used trucks are open right now. Marten is a good company and we dont get pushed to run in the snow and the company policy is do not throw chains and park it.
Best of luck -
that does sound nice, bre ... wonder what other companies policies are?

I have a friend who went to work for CR England beginning in the winter of 07. He has highly recommended that I sign up with them. He also told me no lease with ANY company until I get to know the business. To me that makes sense, why tell an airline I can fly their jet if I only read a book?
Anyways, I have had a couple of driver's recommend them. Throughout my travel(s) I noticeced more CR England, then Wal Mart, Melton, Trans Am, and Steven's on the road-from across the mid-Atlantic to the pacific coast.
CR driver's I have spoke with had more positive than negative responses and had been with the company for a few year's. As previously stated, they recxommended no lease signing until you get to know the industry.
I hope this helps you out. -
