    Just wanted to give you an update on the work done by your favorite radio tech:

    Connex it talking 10-15 miles mobile to mobile up to 50 miles mobile to base.
    Ranger is unreal, best mobile to mobile has been 35 miles, mobile to base has been almost 60 miles. I get better results on the ranger with dx, when it's rolling.

    Fixin to replace the stock wilson coax with some Belden, see if I can improve things a little.

    Good to hear that report, and I will pass it on. He may have some "equals" out there, but few if any "superiors".

    I wouldn't change it out at all unless it is damaged and needs it.

    Mike,
    Since your tech gets so many radios shipped to him so he can work on them, Do you think he would have time to "tune" an antenna for me if I stop by?
