Because millions of men and women in this country hold CDLs and need a job.

Like any other job, either bring your own tools, or make due with the ones they give ya.

Back in the 90s, when big stretches of Interstate were still posted at 55mph, I got my work done on time in a 58mph truck.

Now I have a 68mph truck. I run it at 66. I still get my work done on time, auto transmission and all. I don't spill my coffee, and I don't carry any effen marbles on my truck.

I would LOVE a 75mph truck. I'd LOVE a truck that could run I64 through WV at a steady 65mph. Ain't gonna happen unless I get my own, and THAT ain't gonna happen.

Bottom line, we find an outfit that doesn't suck completely, and deal with what we're given to work with. You can accomplish a lot with the left door closed.

Exactly! What crazy idiot would expect another driver in this economy to waste a nickel in fuel letting off the throttle for ten seconds!

    Aamcotrans Thanks this.

Poorly trained inexperienced steering wheel holders..

    They aren’t truck drivers.

The ones that are doing 62 until you try and pass. Then they start going 65 with me,and now I feel like a idiot because now I’ve got a line of trucks behind me.
Put on my blinky thing, slow down, and get back in line.

If they speed up when you go to pass, just speed up more. Even most 4 wheeler's won't keep messing with you at 90+
