I've never understood why someone would take a job at a trucking company, and THEN ask if the company is any good!
Should that question not have been asked BEFORE taking the job??

I was replying to LINER , not directly to you , sort of a generalized comment following up to what he posted , TATERSALAD did the same in response to my generalized posting.

Sorry if it ruffled your feathers was not directed as you.

10 years ago they had a complicated system, they had the calgary office so they could hire canadian drivers but the trucks were still owned by an americian company and therefor registered as an americian truck. that brought in all kind of rules about interstating on both sides of the border. Basicly the Canadian drivers were supposed to do 1 load out of canada 1 load back in. now to get the drivers home sometimes they could pick up 1 canadian load and deliver it to 1 caniadian destination in the drivers home direction, but the next load had to be going across the border. The problem i herd from a few of their drivers at that time was they would get a load into Thunder bay ont. from there if they were supposed to go to calgary for some home time they would get loads going to winnipeg or something about half way home. now i can't remember how the pay structure worked there but you didn't make money the rest of the way home. so your choice was load out of T.Bay back to the states and hope your next load from the states went back to calagry, or get paid for half your work. Now i am not saying they are a bad company to work for as it is not easy finding tandem loads leaving northern ontario going west. also that is year back so things could be alot different now.

All depends on what you are looking for driver.
