I'm getting back into trucking again. Im a stay at home dad with my daughter of 14 years and her home school teacher. I've had my CDL class A with a tanker endorsement for over 25 years. I have driven for 21 of these years. My last job was with Jim Aartman in Orland ca 2006. They started me driving strawberry slurry to Medford Oregon every day that lasted about a month. I loved it easy no touch just pick up the trailer and drive to Medford bring her home. But somehow Jim Aartman lost the contract. I was moved to milk. Picking up thousand of gallons to hundreds of gallons of milk at dairy farm's all over the north valley. I was re leaving two different drivers on two different shifts it was crazy I lasted 6 months. That was in 06. No with the economy in the tank and we might louse the house we live in I need to get back to work. So here I am.

Well I start training with Swift in Lathrop Ca on Monday. I'm told it will be 6 weeks I sure hope not. I wonder what I'll be learning in 6 weeks? I've driven for 21 years. In the 80ies I spent 6 months on the dock with Viking freight lines in Sacramento Ca.When I finily got into a truck with a trainer he was blown away an wondered why the company wated so long to let me drive. Viking told me I would be transferred to Chico ca. my home town but it never happened and I quit! So here I go again. I wonder if if Ill be kept close to home? We have a termanial in Williams ca about a hour from home. I guess I'll see ha.
