Got the call yesterday to meet my trainer in Tunnel Hill, Ga last night, he was a nice guy and had a clean truck and explained stuff so you could understand it, slept on the truck and was to head out on our first load only to get delayed again, he had to kick me off the truck and I had to go home.(he already has a student waiting in Dallas for him, lucky student) US Xpress started a new CPAP usage policy this month and I now have to go through them and get a machine that is battery operated so the truck does not have to idle while I am asleep so I wasted my time going to Tunnel Hill and sleeping on the truck plus he got a load for over 1000 miles taken away. I am in limbo yet again and have really lost my enthusiasm for starting my OTR journey, this is 3 times and 2 different companies that I have packed and driven to a terminal only to have something out of my control to delay me. I am now hoping to get on at Eagle transport as a local day job delivering gas, a buddy i went to CDL class with just got hired by them and makes $800 a week for training and the average yearly is $55,000-$60,000 for a home daily job, heck yes sign me up. praying and crossing my fingers that I can catch a break.

Lots of people do a year or two OTR waiting for a gig like that.
