Hi I got my CDL in March of this year I choose the company based on the fact that they had a local route just in WA because I didn't want long haul.
But not only did they not tell me that they where Swift but nothing was really true.
So I am buying a truck from someone I have known for years.
I have a good guy to work for as well not going to make millions but will make good money and be able to pay bills and I still get to do what I want drive.
Hi from WA State

Thanks I am planning on it being a woman in this Industry I already had a few issues with some old timers no offence intended not putting all drivers in that category but I think you all understand what I mean.

Welcome to the Forum Ma'am,
From one of them old retired guys.... hehehe... I have done my share of smart ### remarks.... Until I met a Lady Driver from Macon, GA that could put my abilities to shame! We are friends to this day 26 years later. Both retired and both now read this forum, only she does not talk on a computer. She is blind now, and you know what???? She is STILL probably better than I am in the Cab!!! GOD Bless You Mama Holly!!! I love you babe, and HAPPY 75th Birthday on the 25th!! (bullhaulerswife, she is now having the forum read to her everyday. I called her daughter and told her about this forum today.)
bullhaulerswife Thanks this. -
Yah I meet a few drivers male and female while in training that maybe should have found a different career.
And some old timers where cool but some where just well there just isn't a nice way to put that.
I can take a joke and well when you start out especially while dealing with snowstorms it's tough enough but having some guy go all crazy because you slowed down on icy roads.
Sorry that's just to much for me.
