I am a new truck driver's wife and recently married. I have a ton of questions and can hope both spouses and truckers can help me out. With Christmas around the corner, I want to get my husband a truck gps and a cb. Which ones are the best?? I have researched several and have many conflicting reports---Please help!!! Thanks:O_o_1PIRATES3:

On the GPS get Rand mcnally they have the truck routes... um CB for the price cobra 21 he can get it peaked and tuned at a CB shop.. it enhances the sound.. also think about some sort of sattelite radio it makes it nice going cross country not having to change stations. Hope this helps or gets ya some sort of idea. Gary

If you purchase the Rand McNally before 12/31 there is a promo going that will give you free map updates for life.
A map update usually costs around $200 and needs to be done at least every two years.
Personally, I find the RM 710 to be great. Wouldn't trade it for any other one.
CB's are just not that important anymore. You can drive for hours without hearing a word. Watch craig's list and you'll probably find one for $25-$50.
I agree with onemoremile. A sattelite radio will be much more appreciated by hubby.
