I have been a "lurker" here for almost a year now ... and finally joined today.
I have gotten SO MUCH good information here - thank you all!!!
My husband has been a truck driver for over 25 years, but for most of that time has been a local hauler. We were OTR for 3 months a few years back. And then for the last year and half he has been OTR with a milk transport company. Well, 29 states OTR.
Now? He has been with Indian River Transport out of Clovis, NM for about 2 weeks.
I am his "ride-along wife" ... I do not drive. I ride. I navigate. I blog.
We are dealing with some health issues ... Acute kidney injury with renal failure - since January 10 of this year. Due to medication he took for gout these last 22 years. Sigh. This on top of all the diabetes, high blood pressure, gout, arthritis and general aches and pains.
We have 2 awesome kids and six "perfect" grandkids - well, in Grannee's world they are perfect! LOL
We have a house in East Texas - but live on the road.
Looking forward to getting to know ya'll better ... and perhaps sit for a cup of coffee down the road!

hi i used too drive, but the way it is now , i make more at my present land job , they say the opean road , but if i go back out , ill have too go trainer and stuff no biggiee , just i dont like starting for such low pay, but again hi and welcome to the greatest trucker forum there is and come on over to flo diner, they make you laugh and melt your hard day away , if your having one
