It is not hostility, simply reality.

dboynton, just look at your last post.
Anyone, look at that last post.

I agree that you need to grow up and take responsibility.
But not by driving a truck at this point in your life.

This is the first time in this thread that I heard anything about messing up with your girlfriend, and it does not even matter.
The fact is, you are way to 'young' to be driving a big rig.
You need to be grown up and responsible before you ever set foot in a truck.

You barely have your regular license, and are barely a driver of any sort. You have no experience.
Get some experience driving a car, and around those big trucks, before you decide that you want to be in one.
Learn something of what is involved in this life before you decide to become a part of it.

Sure, you messed up with a girlfriend.
So now are you willing to give up a social life altogether because of that?
Because you won't meet those nice and cute girls out here. You will just be driving from place to place, with nowhere and everywhere to go in between points of little sleep.

Take off the rose colored glasses and get some perspective.

The point of a commercial class c of to be able to haul hazmat. We had a driver at a company that drive a 26k truck that regularly had to haul pallets of batteries and such.
