    I have started a new game , collecting power cables from LED light bars, hang them on the garage wall, next to the collected gladhands from people blocking fuel islands. Next to my NRA flag.

    The headlights on during the day is a policy in some companies. Some new vehicles also turn them on automatically during the day. They say it can help prevent accidents.

    I believe it. Its law here in Canada that any vehicle after like 1991 has to have daytime running lights. Makes vehicles way more visible. Especially in rainy conditions.

    Except that the dash lights are on too and people think the taillights are on when they are not.

    I think the OP is talking about high beams.

    DRL doesn't mean headlights only can be used to satisfy the law, just some kind of DRL.
