If you want a more consistent reading, and possibly more accurate, go to Walmart and get a blood pressure cuff.
Don't get the cheapest one.

And the next time you are with a doctor make sure you bring it with you so you can check its accuracy.

Sadly to say, Walmart probably won't be stocking either of them in the near future.
You'll just have to save your nickles and dimes until a nice long home time.

 

If nothing else at least you are keeping tabs on it. I was told I had borderline high blood pressure for years, but never paid any attention to it until I wanted to get back into trucking and had to abide by FMCSA regulations.
