    Hello David;
    If you go to page two of that link, where it says retro fit info, look at the medium engines bracket. In the hand priming configuration, you will find base # 202-9871. The 1R0771 (radial seal filter) has evolved to the 326-1643.

    Josh my intentions are to remove one of the three block off plates, and plumb the automotive fuel pump suction and discharge line into those exposed fittings. Because my electric pump will be a primer only, I will also use a couple of valves to prevent suction/pressure on the electric pump when it is not in use. I wish I would have gone ahead and purchased the all in one setup, it looks pretty neat.

    Have you found any aftermarket filter that would work on that base?
    I run only Cat filters for the secondary, but the fuel/water separators get changed too often due to water, something that just about any decent brand of fuel/water separator is capable of catching....IMHO

    The automotive pump doesn't sound like a bad idea, but yeah, buying the whole thing from Cat would probably be easier-although for what they want for it, you could probably just about buy a FASS and be done with it. I don't think the pump is all that necessary for priming, it really hasn't been bad doing it by hand.

    Didn't you and I discuss this a long time ago? And you still don't have it on the truck? You better get after it, especially if you already bought the parts!

    Yeah, sure did! I bought most of the stuff, started thinking about trading the truck, so threw everything in a box and set it way back in a corner, then forgot about it. Digging around the other day, I came across the box, so now back on the "to do list".
