I went by TruckPro and they didn't have any listed in stock anywhere, but they could order straight from Donaldson for about $120. Looking like Ryder online might be the cheapest (if I'm reading it right shipping is only $15) unless NAPA is close to that.

Yes, stock mufflers get more restrictive over time due to soot deposits. If the muffler has a screen type baffle in it then the muffler can become really restrictive. I see now way the Donaldson high flow unit could become restrictive since it is basically a straight through design like a glass pack...of course with out all the extra noise of the glass pack.

Go with the Donaldson muffler that we have been talking about earlier in this thread. There is just a tad more noise, but the flow is increased to a point of almost flowing as much as a straight pipe.

Like every thing else in life it is a trade out. I doubt if there is any muffler that will do what you want. Even cars with flowmasters and the like are a little louder than stock. It's up to you. Quieter or better performance and maybe some jingle in your pocket. If your muffler is very old replacing it with a stocker may help performance. Most that I have looked at have 1/4 inch holes that clog over time.

    Let us know 377pete.

Mine are probably original too, putting them at about 8yrs old. I'm feeling I'll notice an improvement for sure.
