I run a single Donaldson M100463(3200 cfm) on an MXS 550 with a tweaked BD tune and it works just fine. 850-875 max egt.
the 463 is a standard size muffler and i believe the muffler on a 387 is longer than standard. you may need a longer stack.

do most folks in class 8's use pre or post turbo pyrometers? im going to mount one along with a boost gauge and wondering what the standard is
i always mounted them pre turbo in my pickup trucks(cummins and powerstrokes) and never take them past 1250* for long -
look how much better they flow than the typical m100465 (most fleets run these cause they the cheapest) on the low and medium rating

walkers 22 964 is a 9 inch round
walker 22 963 is a 10 inch round
walker 22 980 is a 10 inch round for quieter jake brake
