High Idle Volvo D13 - How to disable?

If you idle a engine at certain RPM's they generally do well and keep cleaner inside etc.

 

High idle mode - what rpms are we talking about??? 1100 rpm???
What’s outside temperature when it’s doing it?? Does it do it all the time on a idle or occasionally??

 

Do you still have a code for Dpf??

 

Well the answer is NO. You can not manually turn it off. Unless you do some kind of delete for aftertreatment system. Just curious how much you spend on a new filter??

 

Even with a delete it doesn't affect warm up idle. That would be completely custom but why would you want that?. Once the truck is up to temperature the idle goes to normal.

 

What he’s truck doing is not a warm up mode. When you starting cold truck and warming it up your rpm stay steady 600 or you might bump it up a hundred. Turbo actuator changes it position to 5% to put a load on a engine. In his case rpms go up to 1100 or even 1400 it’s like a little passive regen cause it doesn’t last as long as regular would.

 

Have you had the soot level reset??? Did it work for your truck??
