there is a weep hole in the pump to prevent that from happening. it will leak onto the ground. unlikely but possible i spose.

yeah I don't know the mechanics of it, but I was thinking both seals would have to leak the coolant seal to get out & the oil seal to let in. but like I say I really don't know.

got truck back today. going to run it & have oil sample taken again. had main & rod bearings put in, shop man showed me the old bearings & said it was time to change, bearing was wearing down to the copper. rebuilt oil cooler, over head, new grommetts on oil pan & valve cover. with new oil, filters, coolant, labor total bill was $1500.00 I thought that was good. I do not think that will solve my coolant prob, but he said valves were tight, definitley needed overhead, needed bearings. oil cooler was all original. as before pressure test would not produce any leak. from other sources I am leaning towards air comp. there have been a few reported on detroit sight about comp under 1 year old that had coolant leaking from them.
heard this from more than a few. mine is only 5 months old. just strange to me that after new comp put on the coolant in oil went down by over 60 % than back up. going to try & see if a new top or gasket can be put on instead of changing out entire comp. -
did oil pressure come up?

well sure. new oil in it. I mean oil press was always good. the only sign of coolant in oil was lab report. I will not leave current oil in that long. shop uses oil they get in 55 gal drums supposed to be rotella equivalent. i'm sure it's a universal/generic type oil. i'm just thinking the pressure test cannot show if the a/c is leaking cause the engine has to be running & coolant circulating thru head of a/c/ for it to leak, that can't happen with engine off.
if it were a piston liner or something else, I cant explain why the coolant was way down after compressor change than back up. things don't go bad, then fix themselves than go bad again. I have talked to many who had the tuflo a/c/ & many had them leak coolant within 6 months. mine is 5 months old. right at 500,000 miles since inframe. I do think that all this coolant has taken it's toll on the bearings & is why they show so much wear at this mileage.
