It's not so much the act of speeding as it's painting a picture of disregard for the motoring public which can happen in many ways. 15 over at the officer's discretion is reckless driving and an arrestable offense if you make him mad. It's a pretty serious charge and some companies will go 3-7 years on a major violation.

Might want to look at your criminal backround also. Some traffic infractions will appear on it depending on how severe they are, and for doing almost 40 over; count your lucky stars that you didn't go to jail.

At least you're smart enough to ask these questions before you make the investment of getting your CDL, and you're also smart enough to own up to your mistakes, so I'll give you kudo points for that. Time and time again I've seen people spend the 6k for a private school only to find out they can't get hired by anyone due to their traffic infractions. People don't realize how serious of a business this is that they are getting into. The Hollywood glamour about the industry is just that. Fantasy.

Just keep calling companies and talk to recruiters. The more bait you put out there, the more likely someone will bite. I think you have what it takes to succeed in the industry.

Don't go to a private school if you can avoid it. If you have to bite the bullet for one or two years, look at the in-house training programs starter companies have. Always make sure you're hireable material before making the investment of your future and money. Good luck to you, sir.

I recently tried a romance with Prime having a 25 over 65 ticket two years ago. They told me to come back in February 2014 and they'd hire me.

I hear an expungement may or may not work for a driving job and that they take 6 months to complete.

    Good luck,

    ez
