Hi!! I know swr question is very popular! Sorry.. I try to tune my cobra 29 lx bt and my firestick2 but my swr is at the top of the scale ( using the built in swr meter of the cobra..) I know grounding is very imp... if you refer to the pics anytings wrong?? Thanks for your help!!

You have no ground if your swrs are over 3 across the board looks like you need to pull that bracket off and scrap the paint off to get a good ground.

I chek with a ohm test and my ground should be good. if you look a the pics I post. I put a small wire with a cooper washer to make sure my ground is good..

Copy that still sounds like a ground problem if swr are above 3 and the same on 1&40 also check your coax connections maybe one is bad or coax itself is bad.

First off stop.
Second get an external meter and test it.

First i had a 90deg connector at my cb remove it and the swr go down a lot!!! second removing the spring help to!! now I'm at 1.8 at chanel 1 and 40. this is on a jeep so I will make sure my tail gate is properly ground to fine tune..

Looking at the pic..On the ant side of the mount,clean(and any metal to metal connect point) the paint off..2nd try again without the spring..
