Yeah it’s about time I start looking to move on from HYTT, the past few weeks I’ll do a 500-600 mile trip to start the week and the rest of the week is spent running from Newell, WV to New Martinsville, WV

Hey that's how it is right now. You can go apply to Walmart and they can keep you moving in this time. But you will slip seat a sleeper truck. Almost every 3rd party carrier is slowing down right now. The only companies that are consistently running are those private carriers for grocery chains.

It was like that for me at Highway last year way before this corona bs. They had new hires coming in literally every week to start class. I should have taken that as a bad sign. I don't think this virus deal has changed the way their doing things. Give you decent runs to start then pull back on you thinking they got you hooked. They didn't know me too well, lol.

Yea things like weekly orenentation, astronomical sign on bonuses, or recruiters blowing your phone up and constant emails are sign that turnovers rates are pretty high at a company.

Do you have to wear an acid suit for deliveries? I hauled chemical for a while and every load and unload I had to wear this hot suit, and a hard hat with face shield and goggles. Then I see other chemical drivers wearing just a regular uniform with the usual ppe at other places.

Highway has some dedicated routes with Ecolab that require the full suit. But, I never ran any of that stuff. In my time with Highway, I never put on the acid suit.

Ecolab and there’s a few other places we go to you have to wear the suit, no fun wearing that suit in the summer time

That's one reason I quit the other place. It was all Ecolab, so the suit had to be worn every time I loaded and unloaded
