My friend you will see local cops do target truckers AND OUT OF STATE TAGS more. It is easy money but if you break the law you break the law. 2 people going in the same direction the same speed 5 mph over the limit one is a car the other is a truck who gets stopped? Yes you were breaking the law so was the other.. but you won't be able to make a court date.. State Troopers I find to be more likely to stop the car as they know how a ticket can affect your ability to make a living

 

I've seen that driving a car and KNOW it's out there...But like you said, if you're breaking the law, you're already rolling the dice...I also live in "hick" town so small it may not even qualify for 'small town' status...Just shifting from 4th to 7th takes you from one end to the other!

They didn't want to stop you in the middle so you could hit your detonator!

 

Would it be a violation of a traffic signal to stop at a green light?

Just wondering if anyone has had an experience with that?

There seems to be some odd town names in SC....Sugar Tit??? how the heck did they come up with that name?

 

They'd probably write that up as infringement/impedement of traffic. I don't know how it is there, but SC cops love that crap.

I got pulled over by an African American police officer. I had my rebel flag necklace on. When he came up to the truck, he said, "Sir, you know I can throw you in jail right?"

I was like WTF????

I was going down and all of the sudden, I see red and blue flashing lights. There was no shoulder for at least a half of a mile. So I put my flashers on and slowed it down to 15 mph and got to the shoulder. He said that he thought I was running from him. Yeah right. I told him I am not going to stop in the middle of a 4 lane highway at 12 midnight running us both at risk of being ran over by a drunk. So I found the safest spot to pull over.

He was very ####y with me especially when he was eyeing my necklace. He was only putting 2 and 2 together. I have a shaved head, sporting the rebel flag, and a nascar shirt on.

He said I ran a red light. I told him, "no sir, that light was green". But I was getting the ticket anyway.

So yep, I got a ticket running a green light and I was almost thrown in jail for trying to keep both the officer and myself safe....

2 weeks later, my wife, 2 daughters, and myself went to the IHOP and he was the rent a cop on duty. (being that it was very late at night) He sure was eyeing me and my family. I so wanted to get even with him, but that would have made me no better than him.

 

No clue, but some of the girls that come from Sugar Tit....Wow. Country as a turnip green, but nice as can be. I used to date quite extensively out of that area. It's funny how you can pick up a date while hunting on her daddy's land.... Besides, that's no different than Possum Booger AL. Saw that one when I got lost.... And I think we've got a member on here who's from that area.
