had same situation recently (Berkeley, CA, not hillbilly but city is very revenue-hungry), "traffic control" signage literally hidden among construction zone debris, city cop hiding in the dark waiting for me to miss it, lit me up for a fat ugly mv ticket

if it was about "safety" the dang sign would not be hidden

    Jazz1 Thanks this.

easy for me to say but i hope you fight it, given the evidence relative to the location of the sign you make a good argument

I was one of 50 trucks given parking tickets on night for the ONE fire plug on the street . 95$ for each of us . Somehow we all were with in 18 feet of it. Guess NJ is overran with hillbillies ?

Just read a local newspaper article in exmore, va. Speed limit drops to 45 from 55, route 13 eastern shore of va. Town of exmore paid 0 for their police because tickets raised enough money to pay for the police dept. (Somewhere around 240000 from tickets). They catch all the nj, ny, pa tourist heading south.

Big cities, little cities, big towns, little hamlets, they all have the good, bad & ugly going on. I've noticed though that in the past the big cities left trucks alone for the most part, much bigger things going on; however, now a days with many town & city tax bases drying up, trucks are seen as a real good revenue source and many cash in accordingly.

Unlike years ago when police were actually there to protect & serve, it seems like many police agencies are actually turning into simply revenue generators, mindset being it's better to generate revenue for the towns and states, as opposed to locking criminals up, as that costs them revenue. America spins around its idol, the almighty dollar.....
