You should be able to find a job in Detroit that allows you to be home every night with your kids...go to a truck stop nearby and take the names of all the day cab companies you see...or just drive around Detroit and have some one write them down. Then get to researching...and most importantly calling. There are a lot of sizable auto part haulers that do not have websites and all that fancy crap.

If you are ready to have your own truck, try Farm2Fleet. They make a heck of the money with loads. Rollin Coal (Black T600), BigBadBill (founder/boss), and NoCoCraig (red vn780) are the Farm2Fleet drivers. They can you more details about working their.

I have a general question regarding hiring areas. Are they mostly determined due to issues with getting drivers home?. For those of us that are looking to live on the road and have no need to get back to a specific place on a regular basis will a company ignore the hiring area issue or am I wrong in thinking that?.

Churchill is still running, but not like they used to when Jerry was alive.
I like that part about comments made while a dispatcher at Cassens.. You kinda got a target on you at the local teamster halls now??

If you have hazmat & a passport, Conway truckload will keep you busy. Terminal in Taylor & lots of former crst drivers to swap stories with.

Indeed jobs.com shouldn't be hard to find a local/regional job btw stop looking at those magazines in the truck stops only bottom feeders advertise in them.
